The Planning Committee of the City of Ottawa intends to discuss and debate the Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw Amendment applications for the Canoe Bay property, located at 3071 Riverside Drive, on February 27, 2018. The 10.7 acre property was purchased from the City and is proposed to include low-density housing on the north and east sides, two medium density buildings (senior’s residence and apartment building) in the middle, a mixed-use commercial-residential component along Riverside Drive and a 1.5 acre park at the south end of the property. A sliver of land connecting to Springland Drive is not part of this application and may be advanced for development at a future date.
