OC Transpo will operate a Sunday service schedule on New Year’s Eve. For those who want to celebrate into the early morning hours on January 1, free transit service will continue until 4:30 a.m. Customers can use OC Transpo’s online Travel Planner to help them plan their trip to and from their destination.

Para Transpo will operate a holiday schedule on New Year’s Eve. Regular scheduled trips will be automatically cancelled, but customers can book trips by calling 613-244-7272 on or after December 25.

STO in Gatineau is also providing free service starting at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Please visit sto.ca for more information.

Several roads will be closed in and around the downtown core due to special events taking place. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early. In addition to using free public transit, the City also encourages residents to carpool or choose a designated driver for their travels on New Year’s Eve. Transit customers are encouraged to check octranspo.com for up-to-date information on detours or delays.
