DESCRIPTION:Veterans Showcase: In the Tradition of Service On 18 May\, at 1900 hours at the Bronson Centre (211 Bronson Avenue\, Ottawa).  \nThere will be a concert to raise funds for the APPLE (A Post-Psychiatric Leisure Experience) Drop-In Centre that provides support and recreation for people dealing with mental health issues.  \nEntitled In the Tradition of Service\, the theme is one of Veterans serving the community the way they served Canada when they wore the uniform of the Canadian Armed Forces. We have three performers who are\, themselves\, Veterans of service in the Canadian Armed Forces: – Eric Payne\, who served in the Navy\, is rapidly gaining popularity as a stand-up comedian. Eric will share his energetic brand of humour with the audience as our Master of Ceremonies. – Mike Griffin\, who served in the airforce and army signals\, will be performing covers and original works with his band Sterling\, a very popular rock and roll band from the Ottawa area. – Tim Isberg\, ex-army officer and veteran of operations in Rwanda\, will perform his storied and soulful brand of contemporary folk music. \nAll proceeds will be donated to the APPLE Drop-In Centre.  \nTickets $20 at VeteransShowcase.Eventbrite.com while they last! \n Make a donation at GoFundMe.com/Singing-for-Change. \nVisit us at https://www.facebook.com/VeteransShowcase/  \n \n
