DESCRIPTION:Mooney’s Bay Hill Open House\nJoin Councillor Brockington and City of Ottawa staff to review the hill modification options and share your feedback! \nMarch 30 from 6:30 to 8 PM \nRiverside United Church\, 3191 Riverside Drive \n\nMooney’s Bay Park Hill has been reviewed due to long‑standing sledding safety concerns\, and the City of Ottawa is now exploring potential hill‑modification design options based on resident feedback.\nThe 2025 feasibility study confirmed that Mooney’s Bay Park Hill can be modified to create a safer sledding area\, and the City of Ottawa is now inviting residents to help shape the future of the hill by sharing their feedback.\nFour design options have been outlined to allow for safer sledding on Mooney’s Bay Park Hill:\n\nOption A introduces a hill designed for advanced sledding along with a cross-country ski training area.\nOption B offers a smaller hill designed for younger or novice sledders with a cross-country ski training area.\nOption C combines both hills and a cross-country ski training area to accommodate all skill levels.\nOption D keeps the hill unchanged and closed for sledding.\n\n\n\nFeedback on the project can be shared by email at RCFS-PublicEngagement@ottawa.ca no later than April 10\, 2026. \nVisit engage.ottawa.ca/mooneys-bay-park-hill for more information. \n \n\nPortes ouvertes – Colline du parc Mooney’s Bay\nJoignez-vous au conseiller municipal Riley Brockington et au personnel de la Ville afin de vous renseigner sur les options proposées pour modifier la colline et leur faire part de vos commentaires. \nLe lundi 30 mars\, de 18 h 30 à 20 h \nÉglise unie Riverside (3191\, promenade Riverside) \n\nLa colline du parc Mooney’s Bay a fait l’objet d’un examen en raison des dangers persistants posés par la glissade en toboggan. La Ville d’Ottawa explore les différentes solutions possibles en fonction des commentaires des résidents.\nL’étude de faisabilité réalisée en 2025 a confirmé que la colline peut être modifiée de sorte à créer une zone de glissade hivernale plus sécuritaire. La Ville invite maintenant les résidents à orienter le choix de solution en fournissant leur rétroaction.\nQuatre options sont proposées pour améliorer la sécurité de la glissade hivernale sur la colline du parc Mooney’s Bay :\n\nOption A : colline comportant une pente de glissade « à sensation » et une pente d’entraînement pour le ski de fond.\nOption B : colline réduite comportant une pente de glissage modérée et une pente d’entraînement pour le ski de fond.\nOption C : colline combinant tous les éléments des options A et B\, comportant deux pentes de glissade (à sensation et modérée) et une pente d’entraînement pour le ski de fond.\nOption D : colline actuelle et interdiction de glissade hivernale.\n\n\n\nLes commentaires sur le projet peuvent être partagés par courriel à RCFS-PublicEngagement@ottawa.ca au plus tard le 10 avril 2026 \nVisitez participons.ottawa.ca/colline-du-parc-mooneys-bay pour plus d’information. \n
