NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
Site Plan Control Proposal and Zoning Application for a proposed mosque, school, and community centre at 3095 Albion Road North
The City of Ottawa’s Planning & Growth Management Department has received a combined zoning by-law amendment and site plan control application for a new mosque, school, and community centre located at 3095 Albion Road North. The site is located approximately 150 metres north of the CN rail yards and abuts the current OC Transpo maintenance facility on the southeast side.
The Ahlul-Bayt Centre of Ottawa (ABCO) is proposing to build a complex that includes a two-storey building (plus basement) with a total gross floor area of 6,860 square metres. The building will contain a mosque, an elementary school, and a community centre. Various amenities are proposed for within the building including a gymnasium and indoor pool. The proposed building is located towards the west end of the site and a total of 285 parking spaces will be located to the rear of the building. The proposed zoning amendment would permit a place of worship, school and community centre use. More information can be found by visiting ottawa.ca/devapps and searching 3095 Albion.
We invite you to attend a public information meeting where we have asked the applicant to present their application to the community. Please join us on:
