18 Apr Potential for traffic delays on Hogs Back Road this week
Motorists can expect potential traffic delays along Hog’s Back Road next week, says Parks Canada.
From this Monday to Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., the Hog’s Back bridge will be reduced to one lane to accommodate investigative work on the quality and condition of the bridge’s concrete structures. The sidewalk on the south side of the bridge will also be closed.
Workers will direct automobile traffic flows during operation hours.
For pedestrians, the crossing over the Hog’s Back dam that connects to the sidewalks east and west of the bridge will serve as a detour.
The repair of the bridge is part of a $3 billion investment by the federal government to support infrastructure work, said Parks Canada.
