On Thursday, November 19 Ottawa’s COVID-19 Testing Taskforce, led by sector partners, opened a new COVID-19 Drive-Thru Assessment Centre at the National Arts Centre (NAC). The drive-thru testing is available for those 14 years of age and older, by appointment only with a valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card. The new centre is open seven days a week, 10 am to 6 pm. Appointments can be booked online or by calling 613-737-8193.

** Please note the Drive-thru Assessment Centre at Coventry Road has been closed.

Also new are COVID-19 testing sites at a number of Community Health Centres and the McNabb Community Centre on Elgin.

COVID-19 Assessment Centre at McNabb Community Centre

• Ages: Six months and older
• Hours: Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Services provided: Scheduled appointments and very limited walk-up testing
• Location: McNabb Community Centre. 180 Percy St, Ottawa

COVID-19 testing at three of the Ottawa Community Health Centres

• Ages:  Testing adults and children above 6 months of age at Centretown and Sandy Hill sites. Testing adults and children aged 13 years and above at the Somerset West site.
• Services provided: By appointment only, testing available for those without a health card

What to do for a friend or family member without internet access:

Heron Road and Moodie Care Clinics

• If you need to book an appointment but do not have access to the internet, please call 613-721-4722 for the COVID-19 Care Clinic on Moodie and dial 613-288-5353 for Heron. Note: there are a limited amount of bookings through this phone number, and it is to be used for those without internet access.

Brewer Assessment Centre

• If you do not have access to a computer to book an appointment at the Brewer Assessment Centre, please arrive on-site and staff will do their best to accommodate you. Some “just-in-time” (walk-ins) will be accepted if capacity allows. The “just-in-time” capacity is for situations that include people who need urgent contact tracing for public health and for anyone who may not have access to the online booking system.
• Appointments are available for booking every evening at 8:30 pm for the NEXT 2 DAYS. Ensure you booked the correct location.
