23 Oct Community Outdoor Ice Rink Maintenance
Local outdoor winter ice rinks are maintained by volunteers in the community with support from the local community associations and the City of Ottawa. Without the help from local volunteers the community ice rinks would not be operational. City outdoor rink coordinator for River Ward is currently recruiting volunteers for the outdoor rink at Rideauview Park at 960 Eiffel Avenue.
If you are interested in assisting with local ice rink maintenance and operations at any of the parks in River Ward, please contact my office where I would be happy to put you in touch with the local community association. High school students are also reminded that this provides a great opportunity to earn more volunteer hours towards fulfilling their mandatory 40 volunteer hours of community service.
