06 Dec Overnight Work on Trillium Line
This note is to advise of overnight work scheduled to take place on Line 2, the Trillium Line.
The contractor, Rail Term, is required to perform unplanned rail polishing on Sunday, December 8 from 01:00 until 06:00 and Monday, December 9 from midnight until 04:30.
Due to the type of equipment required to perform this work, some residences adjacent to the right-of-way may experience some noise (grinding and vehicle back up beepers) and may see sparking from the machinery. The work will require the use of a hi-rail vehicle (see attached photo for reference). It is expected to travel at approximately 15 km/hr so the noise and sparking will occur across the alignment. Noise is not expected to last the whole time period at all locations for both days but it is possible that numerous passes will be required. The work will take place from Bayview Station to Greenboro Station inclusively.
