Dear friends and neighbours of River Ward, Happy Canada Day!  Best wishes to one and all celebrating our nation’s 156th birthday. It has been a very busy first half of 2023 at Ottawa City Council and the summer months allow us to catch our breath and spend more time where we belong, in the community.  I will be working for the most part out of the Ward Office in the Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre this summer, you are most welcome to drop-in during working hours or make an appointment to secure some time to chat about issues of concern. There are many local events happening in the ward this summer and they are listed through-out this e-newsletter.  Take part and enjoy everything that is happening so close to home. I am very pleased to remind you that starting today, public transit is free for everyone aged 12 and under.  City Council endorsed my motion during the 2023 Budget deliberations.  This is good for families and exposes younger riders to public transit. Take good care
