River Ward Earth Day Essay Contest

EsasyContestCity Councillor Riley Brockington invites youth from River Ward to enter the ‘Sustainable Ottawa in 2067’ essay contest where authors will share their vision of what a sustainable Ottawa will look like in 50 years. As a youth in 2017, your vision can become a reality!

While creating a vision for 2067, participants are asked to consider the following questions:
How will Ottawa change over the next 50 years?
What role will I play to make these changes happen?
How will these changes positively impact the city?

Eligibility
Must be a resident of River Ward (Ward 16) currently enrolled in grade 7, 8, or 9

Deadline
All submissions MUST be received no later than 4:00pm on March 24, 2017. Essays can be submitted via email to Riley.Brockington@Ottawa.ca or hand delivered to the address below:

Prizes
Hydro Ottawa has generously provided financial sponsorship for the top three essays:
1st Place: $250, 2nd Place: $150, 3rd Place: $100
Winners will be announced at Councillor Brockington’s Annual Earth Day Event on April 22, 2017 at the Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre – 3320 Paul Anka Drive.
