To the Neighbouring Residents of 3358 Riverside Drive,
The purpose of this communiqué is to advise residents that the property at 3358 Riverside Drive has been sold to a prospective builder. HN Homes has purchased the property. As you know, the property is located on the west side of Riverside Drive just north of Leopolds Drive. The property has on older red brick home which has been abandoned for many years. The property has also been subject to various development proposals over several years.
HN Homes is proposing to build four homes on the property fronting onto Riverside Drive. There will be no required zoning amendments for the site as the current zoning allows for this type of development. The developer has applied to the committee of adjustment for lot severance.
This property has been subject to various developments over the years. As recently as last year I was approached by a developer who was interested in constructing 19 homes on the site. I believe the current proposal is more in-line with the current look and feel of the community.
I will work the City officials, the developer, and local residents to mitigate any impact on the surrounding neighbours.
