October is probably one of my top three favourite months – the spectacular leaves, pumpkins, ghosts and goblins and opportunities to give thanks with family.
I draw your attention to a number of in-person meetings the City is hosting this month to showcase the Zoning Bylaw Review, a neighbourhood changing review that will lead to modernized zoning across River Ward. Big changes are coming and I want you to be aware, be engaged, understand what the City is planning and share your thoughts with me. Please see additional information in the e-newsletter.
There are a number of observances and holidays to take note of this month: Rosh Hashanah (October 2-4), Fire Prevention Week (October 6-12), Yom Kippur (October 11-12), Thanksgiving (October 14), Halloween (October 31)
We are blessed to live in a such a naturally beautiful ward. I encourage you to get out, walk through the Carlington Woods or McCarthy Woods to admire the bright colours. Colder days are ahead, enjoy a great month.
