01 Nov River Ward E-Newsletter, November 1, 2026 | Bulletin électronique du Quartier Rivière, 1 novembre 2026
Dear Friends and Neighbours!
On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month…we will remember them. On November 11, Remembrance Day, please take some time to attend a local event or the National Remembrance Day ceremony downtown to remember the fallen who have served defending our country. Never forget.
The e-newsletter contains a lot of information about upcoming events across the ward – it plans to be a busy month.
In November, we recognize Hindu Heritage and Lebanese Heritage Month, Veterans’ Week (November 5-11), Remembrance Day (November 11) and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25).
Mark your calendar for the final electronics waste day in River Ward this calendar year. On Saturday November 7 (10am-4pm), Junk That Funk will return behind the McCarthy Road Metro. Please bring your e-waste for safe disposal. There is no fee to participate and drop off your items. Please, no other waste at this depot.
The River Ward team is here to serve you – reach out any time.
Sincerely,
Riley
