Community Vigil – in memory of Brkti Berhe

October 29 @ 6:00 pm

Dear Friends and Neighbours,
With a heavy heart, I invite you to attend a Community Vigil – in memory of Brkti Berhe – mother, spouse, friend, neighbour.  The vigil will be held on

Tuesday, October 29 at 6pm, in Paul Landry Park (north end).

We have been shocked with such a horrific loss of life – a femicide.  Join members of the community who are coming together to support one another during this very tragic time. I will have flowers and candles on hand.  You are welcome to lay a flower at the park’s rock, which has become the focal point for the community.

I would like to make you aware of two financial funds that have been established to assist the family:

A Go Fund me page has been set up for the family, by a family friend.  You may visit:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-memory-of-brkti-berhe

The Hunt Club Community Association has set-up a fund as well.  Please visit their donation page: www.hunt-club.ca/donate

Please dress for the weather.  I expect the vigil will last approximately 20 minutes.  You may share this page to encourage neighbours to attend.

Sincerely yours,
Riley Brockington
