Concept Design

• Renewal of Airport Parkway Overpass and Hunt Club Road Transit & Active Transportation Improvements (Contract No. CP001056)

The City of Ottawa is conducting a Schedule B Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Hunt Club Road/Bank Street intersection CP000984 project to consider different alternative solutions for improving transportation capacity at the Hunt Club and Bank intersection. The City of Ottawa will host an in-person Public Open House for this project. It will provide information on the EA process, the objectives of the project, supporting studies, alternative solutions, the evaluation criteria that will be used to select the preferred solution and next steps. The City of Ottawa is also conducting a Schedule C Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Hunt Club Road Transit Priority Study CP001003 project to explore ways to enhance bus service and reliability along a 1.4 km stretch of Hunt Club Road between Gibford Drive and Mac Street. The MCEA process will involve assessing and evaluating design alternatives, leading to a preferred alternative. This project will also be presented at this in-person Public Open House.

In addition to the above projects, the City of Ottawa has initiated the design of the Renewal of Airport Parkway Overpass and Hunt Club Road Transit & Active Transportation Improvements CP001056 project, which is within the Hunt Club Road limits of the Transit Priority EA. The improvements identified through EA for the segment of Hunt Club Road from the Airport Parkway to Transitway are planned to be implemented as part of this project, in coordination with the renewal of the Airport Parkway Overpass.

La Ville d’Ottawa mène actuellement une évaluation environnementale prévue à l’annexe B pour le projet CP000984 concernant l’intersection entre le chemin Hunt Club et la rue Bank afin d’étudier différentes solutions visant à améliorer la capacité de circulation à cette intersection. La Ville d’Ottawa tiendra une séance d’information publique en personne au sujet de ce projet. Elle fournira des informations sur le processus d’évaluation environnementale, les objectifs du projet, les études à l’appui, les solutions possibles, les critères d’évaluation qui seront utilisés pour choisir la solution privilégiée et les prochaines étapes. La Ville d’Ottawa mène également une évaluation environnementale prévue à l’annexe C concernant le Projet accordant la priorité au transport en commun sur le chemin Hunt Club (CP001003) afin d’explorer les moyens d’améliorer le service d’autobus et sa fiabilité sur un tronçon de 1,4 km du chemin Hunt Club, entre la promenade Gibford et la rue Mac. Le processus d’évaluation environnementale comprendra l’examen et l’évaluation de différentes options afin d’en arriver à la solution la plus appropriée. Ce projet sera également présenté au cours de cette séance d’information publique en personne.

Outre les projets susmentionnés, la Ville d’Ottawa a lancé les études techniques relatives au projet CP001056 portant sur la réfection du passage supérieur de la promenade de l’Aéroport et amélioration du transport en commun routier et du transport actif sur le chemin Hunt Club, lequel s’inscrit dans le tronçon de ce chemin couvert par l’évaluation environnementale relative au projet accordant la priorité au transport en commun. Les améliorations recensées dans le cadre de l’évaluation environnementale pour le tronçon du chemin Hunt Club allant de la promenade de l’Aéroport au Transitway devraient être mises en oeuvre dans le cadre de ce projet, en coordination avec la réfection du passage supérieur de la promenade de l’Aéroport.
