22 Jun Festival Parking Restrictions in and around Mooney’s Bay
River Ward hosts more festivals and special events than any other ward in Ottawa, outside of the downtown core. We are a vibrant community that is blessed with green space and the Rideau River. It is a natural attraction to many organizations to host their event within our community. These spring and summer festivals and events are a prime opportunity to showcase the City’s various cultural, religious, and sporting events within our community.
Listed below you will find information regarding parking restrictions that will be implemented from June 21 to August 13, 2018* during scheduled festival dates. Please be mindful of the restrictions when considering where to park during this time.
Summer 2018 River Ward Festival Dates
June 21-24 – Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, Mooney’s Bay
June 22-24 – Summer Solstice Aboriginal Festival, Vincent Massey Park
July 3-8 – Canadian Track & Field Championships, Terry Fox Facility
July 14 – HOPE Volleyball Summerfest, Mooney’s Bay Park
July 18-22 – Ottawa Lebanese Festival, 700 Ridgewood Avenue
July 28 – National Capital Triathlon, Duathlon & Runs, Mooney’s Bay & Roadways
August 11-12 – Jamday Festival, Mooney’s Bay Park
*Please Note: Bylaw Services has advised that the special festival parking restrictions will NOT be enforced outside of the above festival dates. Instead, regular parking restrictions will be applied.
UPDATE: There was a delay in getting the signs up in time for the start of Dragonboat on June 21, 2018 and city officials have committed to getting all signs in place by Friday, June 22, 2018.
