28 Jan O-Train Trillium Line Service Adjustments
I would like to share the following update from John Manconi, General Manager of Transit Services with you regarding upcoming service adjustments on the O-Train Trillium line.
The O-Train Trillium Line Expansion Project continues to progress towards final completion and implementation of the new expanded service that will increase capacity, reduce waiting times, improve comfort and convenience for our customers. The testing and commissioning phase of the new train sets, signal system, and passing tracks is well underway.
The City’s Rail Implementation Office, the lead on the expansion project, working closely with OC Transpo have identified the need for additional track time for continued systems integration, schedule optimization and operator train and system familiarization.
As a result the following 2 weekends, January 31, February 1 and February 7, 8, the Trillium Line service will be replaced by Route 107 bus service. The replacement Route 107 bus service will provide service parallel to the O-Train corridor, between South Keys and Bayview stations, and serve stops adjacent to all O-Train Trillium Line stations.
Details regarding this adjustment and the replacement route 107 bus route will be communicated to our customers on octranspo.com, on the O-Train vehicles and at station platforms. In addition to Route 107, there may be other bus route options that work better for some customers. Customers can call 613-741-4390, visit octranspo.com, or octranspo.mobi for travel planning assistance. Schedules and real time bus arrival information are available by calling 613-560-1000 or texting 560560 (plus the bus stop number).
If you have any questions regarding these service implementations or the overall system switchover anticipated late February/early March, please contact my office at 613-580-2486.
