Although the Ottawa Exhibition no longer exists, I can’t help but remember many happy summers attending this amazing event at Lansdowne Park every time the calendar turns to August. The evenings may get a bit cooler this month, but there is still much to enjoy this summer, get outside and explore our ward.
Ottawa Greek Fest is back and will operate at the Hellenic Centre of Prince of Wales Drive from August 15-18 and 23-25. There is no admission fee and everyone is invited to enjoy the best of local Greek culture, food and entertainment.
On August 16, Raven Park Day returns for a community party all day long, with a community bbq, fun events for kids and Shakespeare in the Park that evening. A postcard with more details will be mailed to Carlington West residents soon.
This is a great month to practice how to get to school, especially if your child(ren) are attending a new school next month. If you notice anything that needs attention along your journey, ie sidewalk issues, let me know..
