May is certainly a great month, sunny days and spring flowers, bicycles come out of winter storage and skipping ropes adorn front steps. There are a number of events this month I draw your attention to: May Day (May 1), Cinco de Mayo (May 5), Tulip Festival (May 9-19), River Ward Mother’s Day High Tea (May 10), Mother’s Day (May 11), Vesak (May 12), Carlington Community Association AGM (May 15), Victoria Day (May 19), Ellwood-Ridgemont Community Association AGM (May 28).
Two critical public sessions I invite you to: Mooney’s Bay Pavilion Final Design Consultation (May 8) and the Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw Review – River Ward specific (May 31). Details of both sessions are below in the e-newsletter.
This weekend, on May 3-4, public transit will be free on all modes: bus, O-Train and Para Transpo. Use it, try it, explore. With the new bus routes and recently opened Trillium Line (Line 2 and Line 4) there is much to try out.
