Dear Friends and Neighbours!
May is a lovely month, sunny days and spring flowers, bicycles come out of winter storage and skipping ropes adorn front steps.
There are a number of events this month I draw your attention to: May Day (May 1), Cinco de Mayo (May 5), Tulip Festival (May 8-18), River Ward Mother’s Day High Tea (May 9), Mother’s Day (May 10), Get Growing Hunt Club (Hunt Club Riverside Park Community Centre on May 16), Seedling Day and Fundraiser (Ernie Calcutt Park) on May 16, Victoria Day (May 18), Great Glebe Garage Sale (May 23), Eid al-Adha (May 26 or 27 to May 30), Carlington Community Association Members’ meeting (May 28) and Vesak (May 31).
As we welcome spring in full bloom, please keep me in mind to speak at your School Council, Condo or Coop meeting, local business event or religious gathering. I would be pleased to bring local updates from the neighbourhood and City – give me a call.
Enjoy our beautiful ward this month, tiptoe through the tulips and enjoy the sunshine.
