River Ward Community Update

Dear Friends and Neighbours of River Ward,

I am certainly looking forward to warmer weather this month and the bursting open of tulips across our City.

The Canadian Tulip Festival is back this year, concentrated in Commissioners Park near Dows Lake. Take some time this month to tiptoe through the tulips.

I would like to celebrate the many positive contributions that mothers, grandmothers and mother-figures play in our lives.  All the best on Mother’s Day, May 8.

I am hosting a special Mother’s Day High Tea on Saturday May 7.  The 3pm seating is SOLD OUT.  There are limited spots available at the 4:20pm sitting.  All are welcome, but please reserve a seat in advance by contacting my office.

The holy month of Ramadan ends today, May 1 which also commences the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.  Best wishes to all of River Ward’s Muslims celebrating this week.

Be safe and take care this month and enjoy the beautiful weather and all of our ward’s natural features.
